The misty lake
silently dissolves
into the horizon
A soft, thick blanket of sea fog covers the land. It is quiet, even the surf of the sea, only 30 meters away, is barely audible. The water of the lake and the mist become one, the horizon disappears.
‘On the verge of perpetuity’ is a photo in the series ‘Whispering reeds’, part of the gallery ‘Untouched land‘.
I made this photo standing on the dunes between the lake Flade Sø and the North Sea, north of the town of Agger in northwest Jutland, Denmark.
It was late in the afternoon, a cold fog hid most of the lake.
